Royal Bafokeng Stadium
The stadium in Phokeng was originally constructed in 1999 with a capacity of 38,000, this however was not enough for it to used as a World Cup venue so it was recently upgrade to allow 44,000 fans. It was also given and given a new roof costing of 344 million Rand (£27 million).
The stadium was completed on schedule as was used as a venue for 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, where it played host to 4 matches. For the 2010 World Cup it is due to be used for four first and two second round matches and it will the England team that gets to play there first in there match against the USA and all going well will return to the stadium on June 26th as winners of Group C.
